Application Evaluation Procedure:
Complete applications will be reviewed by a residency selection committee of the Residency Program Director (RPD), Director of Pharmacy (DOP), Residency Program Coordinator, preceptors and current residents.
Application scoring criteria:
- Hospital and pharmacy experience
- Academic performance
- Strength of letters of recommendation
- Written communication skills
- Extracurricular activities
- Leadership roles
- Perceived ability to achieve residency goals and objectives.
The RPD may contact candidates as needed for application clarifications. Averaged scores will determine candidate eligibility for interview. The RPD will contact candidates as necessary to schedule interviews or notify candidates of ineligibility for interview.
Interviews
Interviews may be conducted either virtually or on-site. Current COVID-19 incidence may necessitate exclusive use of virtual interviews. Interviews will be attended by representatives of the selection committee. A combination of individual and group scheduling may be utilized for on-site interviews.
Rank and Match Procedure
Once all interviews are complete, the residency selection committee will rank candidates. Phase II of the Match
The application evaluation and interview process will be exactly as Phase I of the Match but on an expedited time frame.
